History of Sporty Singles
Sporty Singles
was formed in November 2005 by John who is a keen walker and biker.
The group grew from advertising and word of mouth to a membership
in excess of 100. John organised all events and took care of all
administration. By the beginning of 2007 John found his other
commitments no longer allowed him to continue to run the club.
As a result
a committee was formed and it was decided we would ask all members
to re-register their interest. The programme would continue on
a monthly basis and an annual fee of $10 per person was put in
place. Registration has been very successful to date and we look
forward to expanding our group and to the many new friendships
to be made. John and his partner (who was also a member) have
been made Life Members of Sporty Singles 2007.
