Welcome to Sporty Singles, Christchurch, New Zealand.
We are a
friendly group of single men and women aged 45 plus who enjoy
the support of each other while endeavouring to improve our level
of fitness by walking and biking. Our aim is to keep fit, make
new friends and have fun! We are not a dating club. We are not
into competitive sport.
Each week
we meet on a Friday from 5 p.m. for a social hour or two at a
Christchurch hotel. Walks are organised most Saturdays and Sundays
and bike rides take place regularly. Golf and other activities
are also enjoyed by our group which includes car rallies, pot
luck dinners, dine outs, trivial pursuits etc. Some activities
are shown in Recent Events.
The annual
membership fee is $15 commencing 1 April to 31 March. Once a member
of our group you will receive weekly emails advising the activities
planned for the forthcoming weekend. In addition a monthly proposed
programme will be emailed to you in advance. We invite all members
to participate in the preparation of our programme.
Members are
expected to respect the views of others and to foster a friendly
attitude at all times. During our activities participants are
requested to follow the leader/host instructions.
We welcome
new members and suggest they join us for a social hour and a walk
before deciding to become a member of Sporty Singles 2007.
